I started viewing digg about 4 years ago I think. I used to be a huge slashdot fan, then saw slashdot has all the same stories, but older, and fewer.
I love digg, its a great site to go to when you have nothing to do and keep entertained. Or it used to be that way.
These days when I go to digg, it seems there is always one story in the "top 10" that is a repeat, with 2k+ diggs.
I have seen the same animated gif, the same story, the same pictures, over and over and over.
Has digg gotton old? are we ready for something to replace digg?
I think digg needs to re-evaulate its stance on the geek community, and possibly add some new flare to the site.
I am tired of seeing the same shit everyday.

I have been getting a ton of "FanBox" emails saying that someone asked me a question on fanbox.com.
I am supposed to click here to find out who asked me a question. You are then directed to a site asking you to make an account.

After some searching on the web (first couple of google results are no longer online, you get 404 errors)
The cache of google reveals that this is most likely a spam site. You cant delete account from FanBox. It seems they take your email address and password, then try to take your email account, and spam all your friends with the same shit.
I cant really find any more information on FanBox, and it really looks like a scam, rymes with spam, and fanbox!

If your having a problem playing ISO DVD's or mkv video files in Media Center (vista is the only thing i've used, might work in xp) then try this out:

First, you need to get media player, not media center, to play your mkv.

If you cant get that, then media center wont work anyways.

To get that working, download zoomplayer (google search, standard is free).
Install, and install all missing codecs (it has something called an install center, use it)
Get your mkv playing in zoomplayer and it will probably work in media player.
if not, search google until you get that working.

I've added folders to watch in media center, but it never finds the mkv vidoes.
To make media center find these videos, so you can play them from the interface, add a shortcut to your "My videos" folder
to the HD movies. you might not be able to get a Tree folder to work, you might have you link each folder to my videos.

They will then show up in media center and play with no problem.

To get ISO DVD to play.

As you might have 100's of DVD in iso form, you will want these to play in media center.

First, you will need to extract your ISO to a folder, it will create video_ts and audio_ts folders. dont touch them. make sure they are in a folder for it self.

You can then delete you ISO as they burn the same.

second, go here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/930526

Follow those directions.
Restart media center (maybe twice)

You will have a dvd libray folder now in tv

Add a shortcut in your "my videos" folder to the DVD folder (where the TS_video and TS_Audio is located.)

you then need to ADD the DVD folder form this screen in dvd library.
this is a different libray from the other one.
Add "My videos" as a folder to watch in the DVD library screen.
your done, your ISO's will show up here now

Have you ever got this message, or something like it on your dell laptop?

The Device in the system modular bay cannot be identified. It may not be completely inserted or may have some other problem. Please read and complete the following steps.

1. Press the device completely and firmly into the bay.
2. Press the ESC-key -- wait for the system to power down.
3. Press the power button to retry detecting the device."

Well, I did. I bought a new hard drive for the system.
Put the New hard drive in, same problem. Then, not the same problem but no boot device. Whats going on here?
After some research, I found that this is cuased from one of your devices not being fully inserted. This laptop does not have the ability to remove the CD drive, so how could this happen?
I've removed the hard drive many times, and still the same error. I've seated the hard drive correctly.
Turns out, the whole problem was this:

Press firmly on the CD drive, and "re-plug" it back in. You probably wont even feel a click but you might.

After this, the machine will work fully once again.

Hope this helps someone

So there I am, needing some files. I go to btjunkie.org, the LARGEST bittorrent search engine.

But wait, what if I go to isohunt.com, the LARGEST in the world!

And one more, I can always use ThePiratebay.org, and they are the biggest, right?

So my question is, who really is the biggest? These three claim to be, and I am sure there are more. What do you use? Who gives you the best torrents?
